What great racing and an unfortunate outcome for the Ferrari team member Sebastian Vettel. After an off track moment, Sebastian’s re-entry onto the track was deemed unsafe and was given a 5 second penalty. The time gap between Vettel and third place, his teammate Charles Leclerc, was large enough to soak up the 5 second penalty assessed at the end of the race to keep Vettel in 2nd place. This was not case with a similarly assessed penalty on Max Verstappen at the Monaco Grand Prix. The times were so close that even though Max finished 2nd behind Lewis Hamilton, the 5 second penalty dropped him off the podium.
